An installation in Gallery II, September 26 – October 30, 2026
Artist Reception: Saturday September 26, 2pm-4pm
From September 26 to October 30, Sivarulrasa Gallery is delighted to present ELAINE CARR: SYMPHONY, a new body of work by Windsor-based artist Elaine Carr, in which the artist continues her exploration of the human relationship to land and water.
The ten works in this installation focus on the marsh to explore concerns about biodiversity and the health of the ecosystem. “Recognition of the inter-connectedness of living systems led to an exploration of what the marsh reveals and teaches about life”, she notes. “The marsh story is one of water, wind, grasses and many species coming together to create a peaceful and beautiful solitude.”
Elaine Carr’s works combine photography, drawing, and sculptural elements to portray a new narrative of place. Born in Scotland and now based in Windsor, Ontario, her work examines geographic and topographic narratives of land and water as they interact with human lives. She holds a Master of Arts (Interdisciplinary) degree, Holy Names College, Oakland California; a Bachelor of Fine Arts, University of Windsor; a Bachelor of Arts (Honours History), University of Western Ontario; and a Bachelor of Education, University of Western Ontario.
Artist Reception: Saturday September 26, 2pm-4pm. Artist Elaine Carr will be in attendance.
