A solo exhibition, March 10 – April 16, 2017
Curated by: Sanjeev Sivarulrasa
From March 10 to April 16, 2017 Sivarulrasa Gallery presents Metaphor, an exquisite collection of 20 drawings and sculpture by Almonte-based artist Sue Adams, including several new works being exhibited for the first time. Working primarily with the human form, Sue Adams’ work explores themes of passion, pain, frailty and grace. Her figures exhibit strength, vulnerability and primal energy, giving voice to humanity’s inherent contradictions. Her art draws inspiration from historical movements in Classicism and Humanism, with her figures often combining outward formality with inner turmoil. Provocative and sublime, Metaphor is a meditation on the human experience in all its beauty, anguish and vigour.
Vernissage/Meet the Artist: Saturday March 18, 3pm-6pm
