Sivarulrasa Gallery is a contemporary art gallery representing emerging and established artists from across Canada. Launched by gallerist Sanjeev Sivarulrasa in 2014, the Gallery expanded in 2016 and moved onto Almonte’s historic main street, at 34 Mill Street, in the heart of Almonte’s arts community. Starting from a regional base in the National Capital Region, the Gallery now serves a clientele across Canada, the United States, and beyond.
The bright, inviting gallery space combines historical elements, such as the original tin ceiling, with contemporary flourishes and welcoming staff. The Gallery’s exhibitions program has grown to now include curated shows in three spaces – Gallery I, Gallery II and Gallery III, showcasing works in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and photographic works.
Located just a half-hour west of Ottawa, the Gallery builds on Almonte’s growing reputation as a cultural hub for visual artists, musicians, and writers. The Gallery presents a series of intimate cultural soirees, featuring performances of music, lectures, and poetry in an elegant art gallery setting. The Gallery also serves as a sponsor and partner with community and cultural organizations in its outreach efforts.
